STOP THE EXECUTION OF DEXTER JOHNSON
The state of Texas plans to execute Dexter Johnson on Thursday, May 2, 2019 for the 2006 rape and murder murders of Maria Aparece and Huy Ngo.
Johnson was denied by the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals for habeas relief on his Fifth Amendment claim, as well as for his application for a certificate of appealability. He suffers from schizophrenia as well as severe brain damage following a childhood injury. His counsel argues these condition rendered him mentally ill and removes his moral culpability in the case.
We invite you to voice your opposition to this execution and demand that the state of Texas respect the dignity of human life by sending this prepared letter.
