STOP THE EXECUTION OF GARY RAY BOWLES
The state of Florida plans to execute Gary Ray Bowles Thursday, August 22, 2019 for the 1994 murder of Walter Hinton. Mr. Bowles also confessed to the murder of five other men prior to the murder of Mr. Hinton.
The Catholic Church teaches that the death penalty is an “attack on the inviolability and dignity of the person” and is “inadmissible” even in cases where a person has committed a terrible act of harm (Catholic Catechism 2267).
