STOP THE EXECUTION OF MICHAEL SAMRA
The state of Alabama plans to execute Michael Samra on Thursday, May 16, 2019 for the 1997 quadruple homicide of Randy Duke, his fiancée Dedra Mims Hunt, and her two daughters, 6-year-old Chelisa Nicole Hunt and 7-year-old Chelsea Marie Hunt .
Samra was 19 years old at the time of the murders and did not act alone. His friend Mark Duke was the instigator of the crimes and the son of Randy Duke. While both Samra and Duke received the death penalty during the initial sentencing phase, Mark Duke's death sentence was changed to life without parole due to the fact he was 16 years old when the crimes were committed.
